about me

A smiling woman with tattoos on her arms and shoulder sitting at a wooden table in a cozy indoor setting, holding a glass, with a background of wooden furniture, plants, and decorative curtains.

I am a white settler currently residing on the traditional and unceded territory of the Kanien'kehà:ka (Mohawk) Nation. I moved here from Treaty 4 Territory, the homeland of the Nêhiyawak (Cree), Anihšināpēk (Saulteaux), Dakota, Lakota, Nakoda, and the homeland of the Métis, where I grew up and started my career. I acknowledge the Indigenous caretakers of this land and the atrocities that have been (and continue to be) committed against them.

As a cisgender, able-bodied, straight-sized, queer woman, I exist with various privileges that allow me to navigate society in a way that many folks are not afforded. I am committed to using this privilege to uplift marginalized communities and continue to decolonize my own world view.

I started this work with a love for food, receiving my Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from the University of Saskatchewan in 2020. I proceeded to work as a Registered Dietitian (RD) in private practice and community non-profit focusing in the field of eating disorders. My experience working within an interdisciplinary team led me to pursue my Master’s of Social Work at the University of Calgary, which I received in 2026.

My continued education and additional training has focused on eating disorders, anti-racism, the impacts of trauma, and the role of the nervous system in healing.
